PR - Day 5 & 6

Thursday entailed family pictures which actually turned out well and I'll post some later, they are not working for some reason. Then we hit the beach the rest of the day and it was a PERFECT beach day.

Friday (today) was AMAZING. We had our rescheduled snorkeling trip today. We piled in the vans again and headed to Fujardo, about an hour and a half east. We ended up having such a large group (28) that they gave us our very own boat so it was almost like a private chartered excursion but we didn't have to pay extra. It was a 2-tier boat with a bartender and a lunch buffet. It was saweet! So first they took us out to the island of Icaco. They anchored the boat a little ways of the shore. We were able to snorkel around the coral, jump off the boat or just play on the shore. We did that for about an hour and then had a super yummy lunch.

Next they took us to Palomino Island for deep sea snorkeling which really means it's about 30 feet deep and there was a ton more fish and sea life here. I was totally snorkeling with jellyfish all over! The guide said these weren't dangerous and if they did sting you it would only be like a mosquito bite so we were living it up. After about 45 minutes here we got back in and they took us out to this teeny tiny island called Palomito. You could walk around the whole thing in about 5 minutes. The waves were too rough to snorkel but we all just played on the beach and took amazing pictures. It was just so cool...we kept saying how lucky we were to all be there together and what a fabulous experience it is for all these grandkids. Makes me so grateful I have such a great relationship with my inlaws and that we all get along so well. We just laughed and played for hours. It was an amazing day.
