St. Louis Day 5

We slept in and were a little lazy this morning. We had to wait for Scott to drive down from Madison and he wasn't getting here till 11:30 so we had a nice hot breakfast and took our time getting ready for the day.

Then we headed down to the City Museum in downtown St. Louis. Everyone says it's the place to go so we decided to be conformists. It was quite amazing. Really different, like nothing we'd ever seen before. It was built in a really old building down town. Tons of places for kids to climb and slide and caves and magic shows and trains and just a hodgepodge of FUN-NESS. A lot of the climbing things were outside and they went SUPER high, like 5 or 6 stories up. I thought for sure my kids would chicken out but Bryce busted on up there with no fear! Robb had no fear but kind of had a hard time fitting through the tubes...LOL. They also had a toddler room and places for the babies to play. We were there about 3 1/2 hours. It was awesome.

OK so Ellie is on the bottom, Robb's in the middle, and Bryce already made it to the top and you can't see him on that top platform. The bottom plane is about 5 stories up and then the upper platform is about 6.

Here they are in the highest tube. The building is 10 stories so they are about 7 stories up right here. Bryce is on the very bottom of the pic, Robb is shimmying on his back in the middle and Ellie's at the top.

Then we found a Bandana's BBQ which is another famous joint here from what we understand. SOOO...good and we were so full.

This picture was purely to catch this look. She does this little sideways shrug thing to say 'look at me, aren't I cute?' and I finally snapped a pic! Plus, she's totally adorable.

Then it was off to the Cards game. It's a gorgeous stadium with the arch in the background and the arch design mowed into the field. It was SOOOOO hot though. They were saying there was a chance of rain and we were actually hoping but no luck. It was 87 degrees when we got back to our car at 10:15pm and that's without the humidity. Super fun though and we got to see our ex-Rockie Matt Holliday hit a homer.

I just had to snap this pic. It was so hot Bryce and Will were pouring their water bottles down their shirts and giggling.

On the way back to the cars, the kids were...experiencing some tiredness (see how nicely I put that?). We were so thrilled to get them home in bed...
