Christmas Surprise & Eve

My kids called aunt Mel and begged her to come for Christmas. She said she just couldn't make it work. They were pretty bummed. Then she told me she was totally lying to them...LOL. She bought her plane ticket and while the kids were in the basement having movie night with Robb, I snuck down to the airport and picked her up!

We borrowed the Santa suit from friends and about peed our pants getting her all decked out in the park-n-ride off our exit. I went in first to see how everyone's night had been. Then all of a sudden you could hear loud footsteps upstairs. Zack thought it was a burglar and hid. Once Bryce heard, "Ho ho ho!" he knew it was aunt Mel. They sprinted upstairs! She had little treat bags for them with candy and gift cards. They were so excited!

Avery was a little unsure until...

Mel will kill me for posting this pic but I thought it was hilarious! The santa suit was so huge and we couldn't figure out how to make a decent looking tummy!

On to Christmas Eve. We went to Jeff & Andrea's for dinner down in Broomfiled (Robb's brother). This is the 3rd year in a row we have had asian food for Christmas Eve dinner and I'm digging this tradition. This year it was Sweet & Sour Pork, Beef & Broccoli, and Oriental Chicken Salad. Yummmm! After dinner we watched Mr. Kreuger's Christmas and then headed over to see our favorite Clark Griswold house down the street.



Then it was home to open Christmas Eve PJ's and and go to bed! We draw names and there were some great ones this year!

Mel got Bryce Super Mario PJ's.

Bryce picked out some adorable Hoppy Holidays jammies for Avery.

Zack got Colorado Rockies from me. I could not get a good picture of all 3 of them to save my life but you get the idea. :)
