Counting the Days...

...until this!


Yes, one of the things we love to do is travel. It's a little bit of a weakness. And our kids will end up being so spoiled because of it. But, in just 92 days, we are taking the kids and going to the Dominican Republic again! Flights have been purchased (ouch) and we are officially on a countdown in this house. Robb's parents work for the church in the Caribbean and their home location is Santo Domingo. So we figure while we have free lodging in the Caribbean, we may as well take advantage. This may be the last year they are there so we are jumping on it.

We will be there 11 days. Most of the time we will be staying with Kay and Cheryl and doing touristy stuff there in Santo Domingo but for 4 of the days we are headed to an amazing all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana on the eastern coast. Our kids remember doing this last time and can't wait till they can go to the "swim-up bar" for their smoothies as much as they want to. Robb's looking forward to putting his scuba certification to use and doing some cave and shipwreck dives. I'm also excited to have time to go to the temple and do a Spanish session!

And to top it all off, Robb's sister Lori (and one of my BFF's) and her hubby and kids are going to be there at the same time and will be kicking it at the resort with us. The kids can't wait to play with their cousins and grandparents in paradise.

Avery is going to turn 1 while we are there and we are going to have a HUGE pool party. We just got miss Avery's birth certificate yesterday so we can finally get her passport. Woo hoo! It does seem a little unfair that 3 out of the last 4 winters my kids will have been in the Caribbean but it's so FUN. Anyway, here's a couple more pics of the resort we're headed to:
