Paradise

We spent the last week of BLISS at my family's lake cabin on Hayden Lake in northern Idaho. We had our best friends from Boise meet us there with their 4 girls and it was just perfect! My sister also flew up for a few days to play with us and we got to see my brother and his family a lot too since they live close by. Despite the 17 hour drive which just about killed us both ways, it was totally worth it and we made so many memories. There's just too much to go into detail about but I'll give the day by day activities and go into more detail on the slideshow pics.

Saturday - The 4th of July and Bryce's 6th birthday! We played at the lake most of the day and then my brother and his kids and their friends came out for the evening and there were a ton of people on the beach shooting off fireworks as well as across the lake at the country club so we had a good show! With all the guests there were about 20-30 people to sing to Bryce for his birthday which was awesome!

Sunday - No lake activities today but it was rainy and stormy anyway and we just stayed in the cabin and watched movies and played pinochle, UNO, and other games.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - Play play play! We did a lot of fishing, swimming, wakeboarding, knee-boarding, snorkeling, etc. The weather was a little cool at the beginning of the week but we totally rolled with it. Most everyone had gone home after the 4th of July weekend so we had the beach to ourselves for most of the week. Wednesday night, my totally awesome sister-in-law came out with her daughter and babysat all the kids so we could have a date in Coeur d' Alene. We went to dinner, walked the boardwalk, and had dinner at the resort.

Thursday - We went to Silverwood Theme Park all day long. There is a big water park as well as an amusement park. We spent the first half of the day at the water park and tackled the rides later. The weather was PERFECT.

Friday - Our last day of real lake fun and it was awesome. No wind, totally smooth water. We tore it up on the wakeboards and the kids played at the beach ALL DAY.

Saturday - Robb and Chris devised their own Olympic sized triathlon. We got everyone up at 7am and threw the kids in the boat while they did their mile swim and we kept an eye on them. Next was the 24 mile bike and they ended with a 10k run. INSANE but whatever, they said they had fun. We hit the beach after for a little while but mostly we picked up, cleaned and packed so we could leave Sunday morning.

The boys LOVED fishing and playing in the sand, Avery loved everything, and it was so much fun to see our friends, eat yummy food, and relax.
