Breaking Birthday News...

...Zack is 6!! It seems like he's been waiting so long to be 6 and he made it. For his birthday on Thursday, Robb went to school with him all day because he was "Watchdog" for the day (a program that gets dads involved in the school). Zack got to eat lunch with dad and go to recess with him too and we of course sent birthday cupcakes for the class.

His Aunt Mel made it yet again for Zack's 6th straight birthday and brought him a suitcase full of "fun" including dinosaurs, volcanos, and a halloween ball full of fake blood and bugs which popped and squirted all over my blue couches! The adults were all dying laughing, Zack was screaming in fear of the "blood" and we didn't see Bryce for about 20 minutes after he barricaded himself in his room. There's nothing like getting terrified for your birthday. We scrubbed the couches but still just chose to flip the cushions.

Friday was his big party with his friends. We had a pizza party with 10 little 5-6 year olds and it would be an immense understatement to say that the energy level was high. There was much screaming and dancing and wrestling. We just sat back and watched the mayhem which resulted in some fantastic entertainment. They all got to whack the pinata several times and then had cake and presents. Zack is our meterology enthusiast and his favorite movie is Twister so he wanted a tornado cake and in my opinion we came up with a pretty good one including the flying cows! There's nothing like letting little hyper boys ingest sugar for 90 minutes and then getting to send them home to their unsuspecting familes. But a good time was had by all including us.
