Christmas 2013

This was the only pic I could snag of the kiddos after church before they ran away to change.  The things that stick out to me are Bryce looks so old here.  He is finally starting to grow and look older.  Zack wears a white shirt and tie every week without complaint which is a complete turnaround from last year at this time (hallelujah!).  And Avery is adorable.

We had Jeff and Andrea and their family over for Christmas Eve dinner.  We had Chinese food for the 4th year in a row and it was YUM.  Then we did a short program.  Jeff read the story The Three Trees which was such a great Christmas Eve story.  We had never heard it.  Then we watched The Nativity with background music by The Piano Guys who we love.  It was a great night!

After Jeff and Andrea left, the kids opened their Christmas PJ's and the posing ensued....

Christmas Day was great.  The kids couldn't come wake us up until 7:00am and they had to come in singing Silent Night.  (I don't know where I come up with these ideas and they don't make sense most of the time but they did it!)

Zack didn't ask for much.  He is getting harder and harder to buy for.  This is the first Christmas he hasn't asked for Legos.  Kinda sad. :(  He asked for funky Rubik cubes and a pedal for electric piano and that was it.  We also got him a new mountain bike.

Bryce, our sweet 10 year old, who still believes completely in the man in the big red suit was surprised completely on Christmas morning.  He received a Kindle Fire that he hadn't even asked for.  He was so floored and just kept saying, "This is the best Christmas EVER!"

Avery's "big" gift from Santa didn't even come with the right parts so she didn't get a big gift and we just hoped she didn't notice...which she didn't.  She got lots of fun little things.

Dressed like Elsa from Frozen, her (and our) new favorite movie.

Kids had a great day and had plenty to play with!
