During the 4th grade Bryce continued to work on improving his focus. Spelling, math, and especially multiplication was very tough for him while he thrived in art and writing. He had a lot of success making friends during the 4th grade for which we were very happy for our quiet and subdued boy. Ms. Stephens was a great teacher and was very patient with Bryce. He really likde her too and made her cry on the last day when he gave her a painting on canvas that he had made for her.
Mr. Spong is not only one of the most popular teachers at Prairie Ridge but he is very inspiring in the art department and Bryce LOVED him.
Deb Smith is the school psychologist and worked very closely this year with Bryce as he tried to overcome his struggles with focus and improving his skills in math. She kept close tabs on him and did a great job communicating with me. I am grateful to have so many teachers that care about my child.
And now he is a fifth grader! Oh...my...lands.
Zack is too cool to have any "last day of school" pictures. He was thrilled school was out however. He had a successful 6th grade year and made the honor roll 2 out of the 4 quarters. He is a very bright kid but had a hard time transitioning to middle school where he had to be responsible EVERY DAY about doing his homework and turning it in. He was the king of missing assignments and grounded almost the whole last quarter until every missing assignment was turned in. Here's hoping he has learned a little bit and has more success in 7th grade!
