Rockies & Warrior Dash

If you know us at all, you know we love the Rockies.  Well, times that by...a whole bunch...and you have my sister's love/dedication for the Rockies.  So when she and her friend Jodi came in to town for the Warrior Dash, we knew we had to make a Rockies game too.  Robb wasn't able to come so we took all the kids down to the Rockies/Dodgers game.  It was tons of fun.

Can you guess who had a snow cone?

Saturday, we headed up to Copper Mountain to run the Warrior Dash with Mel, her friends, and Erica & Jamey.  Jamey kind of got roped into it at the last minute but he was our photographer and he seemed to have a good time. :)

The Warrior Dash is 3.2 miles of hills, and mud with a bunch of obstacles mixed in.  For me it was pretty challenging, for Robb it was a piece of cake.  Thankfully, all the guys in our group stayed with us so we were able to do all the obstacles together and utilize the men's help when we needed it. ;) Here's a couple of pics of us nice and clean before the race.

Yes, we stopped at Target on the way to get some much needed warrior face paint.  I think we may need to take a class in that or something because I ended up with a bulls' eye on my head and Robb's kind of looked like a clown.  But whatever, it was kind of hilarious.

This is right after the mud pit which is being watched by 100's of people via a big screen TV in the middle of the ski resort.  You can see Erica and I were quite careful on our way through the mud pit.  Robb however did a front flip into the mud (of course) and received raucous applause from the crowd.

Loic, one of Mel's friends, had to help me on this a bit.  It looks easy but you get up there after running straight up a hill and you're kind of shaky!

I love Jodi's huge smile at the top and Robb's white shirt at the bottom that is now DISGUSTING.

We made it!!
